Im no scientist but I can say this, our biological being is not within our controlled existence. We don't control our bereaving , sleeping, healing or even dreams. We are observing bystanders of what the brain is doing to sustain itself and our being. Thus we will always be eluded by its process. The brain is a separate entity from how we observe it internally and externally. Trying to understand consciousness is like the human brain trying to understand itself. Its like trying to understand your reflection in the mirror.....what will you look for??....you will always reflect yourself and your opinions...but the brain (as a separate entity) will keep you bereaving during that reflective processes.

I dont believe we give animals enough credit for their intelligence, and their problem solving abilities, which i would argue rival even our own simply because they live outside in a more constantly challenging environment. They also have on several occasion, come to people for help. So animals are not stupid, possibly even smarter than us in some ways, being that they have used us as a tool. Anil Seth is "not sure about consciousness in fish". Really? Scientists constantly under-estimate animals. Why? What is wrong with these people? Have they never owned a pet? A goldfish even? Even the goldfish is maligned as having a "goldfish" memory. Anyone who has ever owned a goldfish knows this is not the case. Goldfish will come to the surface of the tank at the mere approach of the feeder. Another example: I used to fish for trout. Basically, for bait I would use white pudding ,a type of chorizo or blood sausage. They ate that because of a nearby pig factory. I would put the pudding on a treble hook and catch them like that. Some I would hook but they would get away. Using sunglasses in the summer I would see the trout under the surface. The smarter ones, who had likely been hooked before and had survived, would approach the line with the pudding and then, after inspecting it, would not go for it. Instead, what they would do is flick the pudding off of the hook with their tails and then gobble the pudding and be off. Someone needs to talk to Anil Seth about basic common human experience. He needs to get out of that lab.

You can try to understand consciousness logically , but you won't be able to understand it logically only through experience after mediating for at least 20 years. the first step is not sleeping between 3am to 6am. If you believe sleeping keep you into lock into the matrix because sleep is a download. Sleep is not sleep. They never mention it.... The people talking understand consciousness logically, but they don't experience higher consciousness. Higher consciousness occur when you not being "downloan/sleep" . Replace the time you sleep with meditation at the time 3am to 6am. You now experiencing higher consciousness and move the sleep to after 6am or after the time you being download. Your Welcome. If consciousness can exit after life then why can it be clouded during life to people who suffer severe brain injuries.so severe they are not even aware of thier surroundings?

...It is interesting that we humans do not require "consciousnesses" to be physically present ....and can leisurely debate a distant brain electronically simulated upon a screen.....

Alot of ground covered and am a bit more confident working together and comparisons on what comes out of the expedited but nonconclusive results makes a huge difference. I'm not shocked by keeping up with the conversation but it's harder not having any support while doing the similar. Can elaborate more if need be. When Rupert Sheldrake talking on the topic of when light goes into the eyes it's what we see in the world not meditating. Now when in meditation when people focus themselves closing the eyes finding the chi & while your eyes are closed you send a signal of light out of your closed eyes opening to another part in time using the energy of the world using forces as we use just cannot see. Gravity etc. Or like how people kneel and pray some have had it answered or even while enjoying their day not praying or meditating. It also raises the Question is God all that, or does God Fear other forces such as Nature, As if God is all Knowledge & loving. you can't justify population wipe & say it's out of love. Is God scared to lose Power grip to admit it's not the only God to be feared or loved by. You could say the Great extinctions were a battle of Gods.
